My name is Anya. I live outside of a tiny little town in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Southern Colorado with my ten year old grand daughter. I was happily married to a man for 40 years. Now, suddenly I'm not. I'm divorced. Having married at 19, being on my own is a lifestyle I've never lived. I can't say this is where I expected or hoped to find myself at this age; but I've decided I'm going to look at this unexpected turn of events as a gift. And I'm going to open up this gift layer by layer and find a new life in there!

I'm going to make some new friends on this blog. I'm going to become an artist. I'm going to start some artsy little business so I can make a little extra money. I'm going to change my style, get computer savvy, and dance more. I'm gonna have some fun and I might just get a face lift! But mostly I'm going to learn how to be on my own and thrive at it.
